The Innumerable Spellings of Juchau

In the process of researching the Juchau line I have run across an uncommonly large number of variant spelling. The most common is Juchan. I have noticed that there is much wider variation in indexes that have been created than there is in the original documents--this is probably typical of any set of surname variations.
